Business Development Manager (BDM)

About the Role:

We are looking for a motivated and results-driven Business Development Manager (BDM) to join our growth team at MLAI Digital. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in B2B business development, a strategic mindset for market expansion, and a passion for building meaningful client relationships. Preference will be given to candidates who have lived or worked in Canada and understand the North American market.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities across global markets, especially North America

  • Build and nurture strong relationships with clients, partners, and key stakeholders

  • Lead the full sales cycle from lead generation to proposal development, negotiation, and deal closure

  • Develop and implement growth strategies to expand the client base and revenue

  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends and opportunities

  • Collaborate closely with marketing, product, and delivery teams to align solution offerings with client needs

  • Maintain accurate sales pipelines, forecasts, and CRM updates

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 3–5 years of experience in business development, sales, or client acquisition

  • Strong understanding of B2B sales processes and market expansion strategies

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills

  • Ability to work independently in a work from home or hybrid environment

  • Experience engaging with clients in North America, preferably Canada

Education:

  • PGDM / MBA or equivalent degree in Marketing (preferred)

Good to Have:

  • Experience selling AI-led, SaaS, or digital transformation solutions

  • Familiarity with CRM tools and sales automation platforms
